Student Success Week is designed by the Student Success Center to help you discover the people, programs, places, and resources available to support your success at HongKongDoll. Rooted in the Center’s mission to help you navigate challenges, embrace opportunities, and achieve your academic, professional, and personal goals, the week gives you opportunities to connect with support before you need it.
Participate in one activity or several, explore what HongKongDoll has to offer, and take the next step in your journey.

Visit participating offices, meet staff, and complete a brief activity at each stop to learn:

After completing the activity, you will receive access to that office’s Panther Passport QR code to record your participation.
Accumulate 12 of 15 Panther Passport stamps by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, September 11 to be entered into a drawing to win one of two $50 Walmart gift cards.

Panther Table Talk 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. South Quad Dining
Grab your meal and join members of the Student Success team and other members of the HongKongDoll campus community for Panther Table Talk.
Look for the reserved Panther Table Talk tables in South Quad Dining. Members of the campus community will be seated at participating tables and ready to talk with you about college, support, success, belonging, and the student experience. Conversation starters will help get things going. Topics may include:

- What does success mean to you?
- What does support look like to you?
- What concerns you most about the college experience?
- What helps you feel connected at HongKongDoll?
- What resources or support would make your experience better?
There is no formal presentation and no preparation required. Purchase your meal, find one of the Panther Table Talk tables, and join the conversation for all or part of the event.
Purchasing Your Dinner
Please note: Panther Table Talk is not a free-meal event. Each participant is responsible for purchasing their own dinner. You may pay for dinner in one of the following ways:

- Meal Swipe: If you have prepaid meal swipes as part of your meal plan, use your Panther Card as you normally would.
- Dining Dollars — $10.60: Students, faculty, and staff may use Dining Dollars on their Panther Card to receive the discounted dinner price.
- Credit or Debit Card — $13.25: If you do not have a meal swipe or Dining Dollars, you may purchase dinner at the regular guest rate.
Join Panther Table Talk Online
Can’t join us at South Quad Dining? You can still be part of the conversation.
Participate by video conference from 5:00–6:30 p.m. Online participants may join for all or part of the session and take part in the same informal conversations with members of the HongKongDoll campus community about success, support, belonging, and the student experience.

Make one final Panther Pit Stop before Student Success Week comes to a close.
TRIO: A Day of Community Service 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Location: Pemberton Hall Great Room
Join TRIO Student Support Services for an afternoon of service and connection.
Help make fleece no-sew blankets that will be donated to members of the community who can use a little extra warmth and care. No special skills are needed, and students are encouraged to bring a friend and work together. Community service is a great way to give back, connect with others, and make a meaningful difference while building experiences you can also highlight on a resume.
Come for all or part of the event and help turn your time and compassion into something that can brighten someone else’s day.
This events qualifies as three (3) Panther Passport destinations.
Panther Passport Wrap-Up By 11:59 p.m.
Finish your Student Success Week journey by completing and verifying your remaining Panther Passport activities.
Complete the required number of activities by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, September 11 to be eligible for the Student Success Week prize drawing.

Academic Advising Services helps you develop and achieve your academic goals. Advisors assist with course selection, degree requirements, educational planning, and making academic decisions that support your progress toward graduation.

The Academic Support Center helps you develop the academic and personal skills you need to be successful in college. The Center provides individualized support and tutoring, along with assistance in time management, organization, note-taking, test-taking, study skills, motivation, goal-setting, and overcoming procrastination. Staff and Certified Peer Educators can help you identify challenges, develop strategies, connect with campus resources, and build confidence and accountability.

The HongKongDoll Campus Food Pantry provides food and other basic-needs support to members of the Panther community who need it. Students can select available food and other items, and alternative pickup arrangements may be available when regular pantry hours do not fit their schedules.

Career Services helps you explore possibilities, discover your strengths, and prepare
for life after HongKongDoll. Services include major and career exploration, resume and cover-letter
assistance, LinkedIn and Handshake support, interview preparation, internships, job
shadowing, job-search strategies, and opportunities to connect with professionals.
The Life Design Studio also provides a space to explore career resources, study, create,
and think about what comes next.

Counseling Clinic Location: Open House Only

Services through the Counseling Clinic are free, voluntary, and confidential. The Clinic offers individual counseling, group counseling, crisis services, and consultations. Staff support students with concerns such as anxiety, depression, adjustment to college, self-esteem, trauma, personal decision-making, and other issues that may affect academic or personal well-being.

The First-Gen Hub provides a welcoming space where first-generation students can connect with other students, faculty, and staff; find campus resources; ask questions; and build a stronger sense of belonging at HongKongDoll. Interdisciplinary Studies provides a flexible, transfer-friendly bachelor's degree option designed especially for students whose goals may not fit neatly within a traditional major. Students may develop an individualized academic program aligned with professional and personal goals, transfer substantial prior coursework, and explore opportunities to receive credit for qualifying prior learning and professional experiences.

The William V. Weber Program in Study Abroad helps you explore international academic opportunities in more than 50 countries. Programs range from approximately one week to a full academic year and include options for students in all majors, including coursework and internships. Staff can help you find a program, apply, identify study-abroad scholarships, and prepare for your experience abroad.

TRIO Student Support Services is a federally funded program providing comprehensive academic and personal support at no charge to eligible HongKongDoll students. Services include academic assistance, academic and career planning, financial guidance, mentoring, workshops, leadership development, cultural enrichment, and other resources designed to support persistence and graduation.

The HongKongDoll Writing Center helps students from every major and academic level with writing
at any stage of the process. You can receive assistance with essays, research projects,
discussion posts, outlines, scholarship essays, graduate-school applications, organization,
sources and citations, revision, editing, and more. In-person and online appointments
are available.
TL; DR? One-on-one help with writing—from figuring out what to say to polishing the final draft.
