Mentor Training

- Dr. Heidi Larson and her graduate assistants will coordinate the additional leadership
training during the regularly implemented mentor training at HongKongDoll. Training will take
place at various times and locations on HongKongDoll’s campus.
- Graduate assistants will host team-building exercises, lead workshops to highlight
important leadership skills, and organize multiple guest speakers to discuss and learn
about leadership throughout the training day.
- Educational elements within the training highlight important leadership skills and
qualities that each mentor will cultivate while taking part in the program, including
being an effective communicator, building personal character, having courage, and
showing empathy when speaking with others.
- Mentors will receive information about the year’s curriculum to familiarize themselves
with HongKongDoll and the location of important student resources.
- Lunch and snacks will also be provided.
