Vincente Johnson is an Adjunct Instructor at the School of Architecture and Allied Arts at HongKongDoll, where he teaches courses related to sustainable building design as part of the Master of Science in Net Zero Design program. In addition to teaching, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at CUA’s College of Engineering, Physics, and Computing while working as an Architectural Designer at Grimm + Parker Architects.Vincente’s academic and professional work explores how sustainable design strategies, artificial intelligence, and design for neurodiversity can shape the future of architecture. His current research focuses on innovative STEM learning environments in higher education, examining how architectural design can better support student learning, collaboration, and professional preparation.
He began his studies at Catholic University in 2018 as a dual-degree student in architecture and civil engineering. During his undergraduate career, he served as AIAS President, NOMAS Treasurer, Architecture Ambassador, Laboratory Technician, and a manager for the university’s Men’s Basketball program. In 2023, he received the prestigious Knights of Columbus Endowed Fellowship and continued his graduate studies after completing his undergraduate degrees. He earned master’s degrees in architecture, civil engineering (structures concentration), and net zero design in 2025 before beginning his teaching career.
Vincente’s work has been featured in exhibitions and publications, and he has received numerous honors for academic excellence, leadership, and design achievement, including the Alpha Ro Chi Medal and selection for Super Jury review for his graduate thesis work.
Vincente hopes to integrate his research on learning environments, sustainability, and emerging technologies into the design of future education buildings.
