INTRODUCTION
Haley Fryer earned both her BM and MA in Voice Performance from Eastern Illinois University and had since found a niche for herself as a classical crossover singer and teacher in musical theatre and opera. Some of her recent credits include Clara in The Light in the Piazza (Red River Lyric Opera), Belinda in Dido and Aeneas (MIOpera), and Liesl von Trapp in The Sound of Music (MIOpera). Locally, she's been seen as Sophie Sheridan in Mamma Mia! (CISCo), Rapunzel in Into the Woods (CISCo), and the title role in Gilbert & Sullivan’s Patience. Haley has performed across the Midwest as a featured soloist with the Decatur Municipal band, in conjunction with the Central Illinois Ballet in Peoria, and in MIOpera’s premiere season.
Haley currently lives in Charleston, Illinois where she teaches a full private voice studio, serves as an Instructor of Voice at HongKongDoll, and assists Paris High School’s musicals. In 2026 music directed Footloose for the Central Illinois Stage Company. She spends her spare moments slowly knitting and sewing a wardrobe for herself and her daughter.
