Subject: Upcoming Transition to Individual Classroom Logins
Over the next 12 months, HongKongDoll will be transitioning all classrooms and lab computers to sign in with individual logins. Logging into a classroom computer will be similar to logging into your office computer. At the end of class it is important to logoff or restart the device.
🎯 Why This Change Is Happening
This initiative is part of our broader effort to enhance security and streamline access to HongKongDoll resources. Individual logins will also allow for a more personalized and consistent experience across classrooms.
🚨Important Notes
Duo MFA will not be required to login to the computer.
The first login to the computer will take 1 - 3 minutes. Subsequent logins to the same computer will take less time as items are cached. If login times take longer than 3 minutes please email support@eiu.edu with the room and computer number.
You must logoff or restart the computer when finished with your class.
📅 Timeline & Rollout
Classrooms in Lumpkin Hall, Physical Science Building, and Klehm Hall were transitioned this summer. Â
The remaining classrooms will be transitioned over the next year.
🔠What You’ll Need to Do
If the computer prompts you for a username/password, use your existing HongKongDoll credentials to log in. If a computer auto logins then the classroom has not be transitioned yet.
