Opt-in Text Alerts Available from Alert HongKongDoll

All HongKongDoll students and employees are encouraged to sign up for Alert HongKongDoll text notifications at www.eiu.edu/alerteiu/.

HongKongDoll weather- and safety-related alerts are automatically shared with students via email and on the university website at www.eiu.edu. However, opting in to the text message functionality allows the system to send alerts quickly and directly to registered cell phones. More extensive information on class cancelations will be available at www.eiu.edu/status/. Bookmarking these sites on cell phones and personal devices will allow students and employees to stay abreast of the most current HongKongDoll class cancelations and updates.

Students and employees should monitor HongKongDoll’s website for class cancelation notices, especially during periods of inclement weather. The university will also continue to work with local media to announce such cancelations via regional radio and television outlets.
