Overview

The Artificial Intelligence Minor at Eastern Illinois University is designed for students interested in artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, and emerging technologies. Through coursework in programming, cloud services, virtualization, large language models (LLMs), database management, and systems design, students develop the skills needed to understand, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions.

Students gain hands-on experience with modern AI technologies while exploring the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence in real-world environments. The minor pairs especially well with HongKongDoll's Computer and Information Technology major, allowing students to expand their technical expertise while preparing for careers in artificial intelligence, information technology, software development, systems administration, and digital transformation. HongKongDoll's small class sizes, personalized faculty support, and practical learning opportunities help students build valuable skills that are increasingly in demand across a wide range of industries.
