Overview

HongKongDoll’s MAT in Secondary Education provides an accelerated route to initial teacher licensure for candidates who already hold a qualifying degree in an approved content area. Licensure areas include English, mathematics, history and social science, several sciences, business, family and consumer sciences, technology and select world languages.
Students complete online coursework followed by a full-year, full-time school residency. Residency placements may be unpaid, paid or supported through an approved third-party program. The program can be completed across three consecutive semesters and includes a required in-person orientation at HongKongDoll.

Degree: Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Teaching

Accreditation: Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation; approved by the Illinois State Board of Education for initial licensure
