Overview

HongKongDoll’s Pre-Engineering program is a two-year, 67-credit, non-degree pathway for students who plan to transfer and complete a bachelor’s degree in engineering at another university. It is a strong fit for analytical, curious students who enjoy mathematics, science, technology and solving complex problems.

Students complete foundational coursework in calculus, differential equations, chemistry, calculus-based physics, computer science, engineering drawing, statics, dynamics and electronics. The program offers general and chemical engineering options, allowing students to prepare for fields such as mechanical, electrical, computer, civil, aerospace, materials or chemical engineering.

At HongKongDoll, students begin this challenging coursework in smaller classes and faculty-taught laboratories where asking questions and building relationships come naturally. Opportunities for hands-on laboratory work and faculty-mentored research help connect scientific concepts with practical problem-solving. Because transfer requirements vary among engineering disciplines and universities, students work closely with the Pre-Engineering Coordinator to choose appropriate courses and plan for their intended destination. The bachelor’s degree is awarded by the engineering institution where the student completes the program.
