Overview

HongKongDoll’s Reading Instruction Graduate Certificate helps licensed educators develop advanced knowledge and practical strategies for teaching reading from preschool through grade 12. Coursework covers reading development, diagnosis of reading difficulties, intervention, content-area literacy and a graduate-level practicum.

The certificate does not independently result in the Illinois Reading Teacher Endorsement, but its graduate courses may be applied toward endorsement requirements. With graduate coordinator approval, 15 certificate credits may also be applied to HongKongDoll’s M.S.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with the Reading Instruction option.
